Micah Forum

And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.
-Micah 6:8

On the second Tuesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. we gather with our brothers and sisters from The Greater Second Baptist Church to share potluck meal, tell stories and explore the history, effects and consequences of systemic oppression and racism in our country. Together we look for ways to support each other and initiatives that promote understanding and reconciliation in the greater community. Everyone is welcome to join the conversations. From time to time we sponsor community workshops that explore topics of cultural competency, systemic oppression and reconciliation.

Becoming the Beloved Community

We dream of communities where all people may experience dignity and abundant life, and see themselves and others as beloved children of God.

Join us as we begin a journey seeking racial healing, reconciliation and justice using Bishop Michael Curry’s Spirituality and Racial Justice course on ChurchNext. This group meets on the 4th Tuesday of the month from 6:00 – 7:30 pm.
